When should I arrive?
Our wedding celebrations are February 19–20, 2027, with checkout on February 21. We encourage you to arrive in Bhopal by February 18 so you have time to settle in and recover from the journey.
Can I stay at Jivana on February 18?
Yes—if you’d like to arrive early, please use our early-arrival request form (Travel page) so we can ask the hotel to hold a room for you.
Do I need a visa to visit India?
Yes - US passport holders can apply through the official Indian e-Visa website a few weeks before your trip. The process is straightforward: upload your passport details and photo, complete the application, and receive your approval electronically. https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/
Traditions & Culture
Will there be separate Hindu and Jewish celebrations?
Our events bring both cultures together throughout the wedding. You’ll see traditions from each of our families alongside personal touches that reflect us as a couple—and everyone is invited to share in them.
Why are there so many events?
Indian weddings often unfold over several gatherings, giving family and friends time to welcome one another, share traditions, and celebrate before the marriage ceremony. Ours also includes Jewish customs along the way, so both families’ traditions are part of the experience.
Am I expected to participate in every ritual?
You’re welcome to participate or simply enjoy watching. There’s no expectation to recite anything or take part in a religious practice. Being there to celebrate with us is enough.
